A Funny Story..

I know it's been ages since I posted anything other than mark. stuff. I'm going to be taking a break from that and go back to posting things about me, my kids, and just stuff that's been going on. And now onto my funny story. This is also going to be majorly making fun of myself and expose the true ditz that I am. Yesterday I made a deal with Jesse that I would cut the grass (front and back) if we could go to the Butterfly Show at Krohn Conservatory. If you live in the area, you should go. It's really neat to see all the butterflies and the beautiful flowers. He had to leave in the morning to do some work odds and ends.

So I get the lawn mower, it's a push mower, and start doing the front yard. Our yard isn't terribly huge, but it's a good size. After doing the front, I was pretty worn out. But I headed to the back. We have a trampoline and a playset that I also had to work around. I was about three quarters of the way done and I was just exhausted! I was sweating and felt weak. I kept thinking to myself, "gosh I must be so out of shape!" I also wondered how Jesse cut the grass so quickly and didn't seem to break a sweat.

Fast forward a few hours. Jesse gets home and seems to be mad that I missed several spots in the front yard. Yeah yeah, I forgot to cut the part past the sidewalk. I had to explain to him how hard it was and that I seriously felt like I was going to pass out after doing the backyard. Then he says to me.....

"You know it has an automatic drive, don't you?"

I did not know that. So the whole time I was cutting the grass I was literally pushing about 50 lbs or more around the yard. So yes, I am a ditz.

Lesson learned. This morning I am definitely feeling that workout in my lower back and my arms. I guess it was a good workout, but I will NOT be doing that again.
