Twenty-Eight

Today is my birthday. The big 2-8. Ha. I almost wanted to just skip this birthday this year. For some reason I was having a really hard time with 28. I guess because I'm getting closer to 30? I don't know. It's strange. I don't think 30 is old, but I guess thinking about myself turning 30 just freaks me out. Anyways...I'm glad I didn't skip my birthday because this weekend has been pretty much awesome!

Remember this post?? HERE Well, you should if you are a loyal follower of my blog. Hehe. I finally got the purple umbrella! And I love it. It's totally different than the picture that I originally posted, but I'm allowed to change my mind. That post was written 10 months ago! Trischa, Denna and I all had appointments with our tattoo-artist-guy.

We pretty much spent all of Saturday in Columbus at Fate Tattoo and down the street for lunch and dinner. We went to lunch first but when we came back, Denna went first and got this super cute black stiletto shoe on her foot. It has shading in all the right spots. It's so good. Then Chris (aka Carter) drew out Trischa's magnolia for her. Then it was my turn.

I absolutely love it. It makes me smile every time I see it. When I was done, we had to stop and get food. So we walked down the street and had sushi. Here's the 3 of us at dinner.

After dinner, Chris started on Trischa's outline, but because of the time (um and some other strangeness that you can read about here) he wasn't able to finish it all in one sitting. She'll be going back soon to have it finished.

Today was uneventful, which was nice. We had cake and ice cream with the kids to celebrate my birthday and tomorrow night I'm going out with my friend Emily to celebrate some more. So I guess 28 is not so bad after all.
