Summer Recap

I know Summer isn't officially over yet, but the kids start school in 10 days so it kind of is like Summer is over. We are all looking forward to getting back into a routine. I haven't really blogged much recently so I thought I would just do a quick summer recap by month to let you know what we've done this summer. With pictures of course.

June--We went to see the much talked about Toy Story 3 (in 3D) and really loved it. It was really well done and ended the story really well. I will admit that I cried at the end. We also went to IL to visit my sister, Samantha and attend her house warming party.

July--In July we took the kids to see The Last Airbender. We watch the animated version of it and I thought the previews looked pretty good. Overall I thought it was good. The kids liked it, but I was a little annoyed with how the character's names were pronounced. July also brought Independance Day. My favorite! We made our annual flag cake and saw fireworks on Friday and Saturday. Our church's VBS was in July and we celebrated Camryn's 5th Birthday at the end of the month. Camryn's birthday will need another blog post so I can share all the pictures and the fun we had.

August-- The beginning of August had Avery and I attending an overnight camp at Woodland Lakes Christian Camp. I grew up going to this camp every summer sometimes for two and three different camps. I have so many great memories of camp so it was exciting that Avery could go for one night and I could go as a counselor.

And just recently I went to see Paramore for my 4th time while they were on tour doing the Honda Civic Tour. We had pit tickets and were able to get pretty close to the stage. It was such an amazing concert.

And there you have it. A quick recap of Summer 2010.
