Back to Square One...Kinda

I haven't blogged in a while about the surrogacy because I wasn't sure how much I could say and what details I could give out, but just recently I found out that my IP's (Intended Parents) were not going to move forward with their plans to have another baby right now. So I am back to the matching stages again. I've completed all of the medical parts of being cleared for surrogacy though so when I do match again we can move right onto contracts and transfer depending on if the transfer will be fresh or frozen.

Not sure if I shared the medical side of it and all the things I had to have done to be cleared.

My husband and I both had to have blood work done. I think they took 4 vials from him and 6 from me. We were tested for a lot of things.

I had to have a physical assessment form completed and filled out by my doctor.

I had to have a saline ultrasound done. Basically they insert a catheter inside my uterus, push saline into the catheter and into my uterus and then watch it expand. Then using an internal ultrasound to look for any polyps, fibroids or masses. It wasn't too painful and I only got a slight cramping feeling during it, that sort of felt like mild cramps.

I am still a little in shock that my first match fell through after 3 months and a lot of important appointments. I know that I still want to continue on and find a family to help. I'll try to do a better job of keeping this blog updated.
